Do you struggle with meal planning? Do you wish there was a better way to plan healthy meals without spending a lot of time and money?

That is until I discovered eMeals.

eMeals takes care of all my Meal Planning needs. It saves me time and money with meal planning, grocery shopping, and cooking. What’s more, I can incorporate my crazy meal sensitivities and diet restrictions into the plan. And, best of all there are tons of healthy recipes to choose from.
Meal Plan Systems I’ve Tried and Why They Didn’t Quite Work.
I’ve tried many different Meal Planning programs over the years, and while there were things about each that worked for me, there were many more things that didn’t.
Here are the programs I tried and what I liked and didn’t like about each one.
My Own Meal Plan – I created a master meal plan using our family’s favorite meals. To do this, I created a notebook of all the recipes our family enjoyed and created a master grocery checklist from those recipes. This worked rather well for our family; however, it took more time than I wanted to spend. Each week I had to choose the meals we were going to eat that week, check the recipes for ingredients, and add any items we needed to the grocery list.
This is the program I used while our kids were growing up, and it worked okay. However, it was time-consuming. And when my diet changed, I had to scrap most of the recipes I had collected. I knew my husband, and I needed a more efficient plan.
Meal Kit Service Subscription – I had heard good things about these meal kit services that deliver individualized packaged ingredients to your door, I decided to give it a try. The significant advantage of using a meal kits service is the convenience. I like that you just choose your meals and everything is delivered right to your door. The recipes are included and are simple to follow, quick to prepare, and most are delicious. I also liked that there’s no waste since you only receive the exact ingredients needed to complete each meal.
However, there are many reasons this type of meal plan system just didn’t work for us. The first is cost. With convenience comes expense. Having groceries delivered to you via a meal kit service costs more than purchasing these same ingredients from your supermarket. And, since I still had to shop for other food items for breakfast, lunch, and snacks, I really wasn’t saving time.
And while you can skip orders for weeks at a time, if you forget to cancel a week or don’t choose your meals by the due date, the plan will automatically send you their selection of meals. If you overlook this and go on vacation, you can end up with a box of rotting food sitting on your doorstep while you are away. (Don’t ask me how I know this!)
Another disadvantage is your selection of meals each week is limited. The program we tried only had about twenty meals to choose from. Not bad, unless you are on a restricted diet. Then it’s a problem.
And while I chose a company that used all-natural ingredients, many of the packets of sauces and other items did not have the ingredients listed. This is a problem for someone with food allergies or sensitivities.
After three weeks, my husband and I decided that the meal kit service just didn’t suit our needs.

While you will choose one meal plan when you sign up for eMeals, you can select meals from any of the meal plans. I usually add meals for the week from several of the meal plans.
There are also special bonus collections, desserts, and occasion plans throughout the year that give you even more meal choices.
Altogether in any given week, you can have more than 100 different recipes to choose from.
Plus, when you find a recipe you particularly love and want to make again, you can add it to your favorites. There is a favorites tab at the bottom of your screen, and you can add meals from your favorites anytime to your weekly meals and shopping list.
Once you’ve chosen your meals for the week, your shopping list is ready. You can then manually add any other items you need (ex: paper towels, bread, drinks, etc.) to your grocery list.
I especially appreciate that your shopping list is divided into sections – Meat & Seafood, Canned & Packages, Produce, Dairy, etc. This makes shopping much quicker and more organized. Plus, each ingredient listed on your shopping list notes which meal the item is used for.
If you don’t have the time to go grocery shopping, you can choose a delivery or pickup service instead and have the shopping done for you. When your shopping list is complete, select the online grocery shopping option. Then type in your zip code. The app will show you delivery and pickup services in your area. Click on one of your choices, and you can have your groceries ready for pickup or delivered to your door in no time.
Using this app, with the online grocery shopping option, you can easily do your meal planning for the week in less than 15 minutes. How amazing is that?
This week we were returning from a two-week trip, and there was no food in the fridge. My husband and I were sitting in the airport waiting for our plane to board. I opened the app, and in just a few minutes, we had chosen the meals we were going to have for this week. On the way home, we just stopped by the grocery store and picked up our groceries. eMeals is truly a fantastic time-saver!
